During our discussion we spoke about the flipped classroom method and engaging participants in online classes.

We had reflected on this particular assignment. My partner Laura and I had discussed the purpose of partnering up and sharing articles. At first we didn’t quite understand the purpose of the partnering up and having a discussion. As we continued to converse we realized the engagement purpose in keeping each other accountable for this particular assignment. With online courses we as participants can become concentrated in our own learning. By forcing participants to engage with others in the class it allows an open forum to discuss learning needs within different populations and learning groups.

In addition, Laura and I discussed our experiences in post secondary education. I brought up the topic of the flipped classroom and how some instructors had an engaging style of educating, while others would just read off slides.
